TIVOL has worked with a publishing company to put out their own magazine for nearly a decade. I have worked on six of these magazines since I started in TIVOL's marketing department. I began just helping their freelance designer, but once they brought me on full-time more and more of the project moved in-house. Now the majority of the project is managed in-house by me. I work with the upper management and ownership teams to develop the content, and schedule photoshoots with our in-house photographer. I work on strict deadlines and ensure the project speaks to the TIVOL customer and represents the TIVOL brand.

Being on the Country Club Plaza foot traffic can be really dependent on what is around you. The plaza is going through a difficult time which has led to fewer shoppers as a whole. In order to combat this challenge we had to get creative to make our store front more interesting. This started in 2019 when we did an abstract paint themed take over leading up to the Plaza Art Fair. Many customers mentioned it and even posed in front of the store for photos, which led to an increase in sales during the event year over year.
With 2020 being such a difficult year we hoped TIVOL could be a bright spot during the Christmas season. We wrapped our arch with red cling that was translucent to allow our lights to shine through at night, and added a green bow on top. Then used our holiday card as inspiration for the geometric prints on the remaining windows. |
When TIVOL needs advertisements, I am the one who creates them. By working with our ownership and buying teams, I determine what our push needs to be and then work with the photographer to either find existing images or create new ones to bring the concept to life.
I also create advertisements for select vendors using their media kits. This is always fun and challenging as it must uphold their brand guidelines as well as TIVOL's. |
